• Virtual-Application Specific Standard Products (V-ASSPs)
  

  Avalon's full line of OTN V-ASSPs leverage Avalon's industry expertise in OTN solutions and include products from 100G down to 1.25G to meet the demands of today's rapidly evolving networks. Avalon's V-ASSPs are fully-featured OTN products which are capable of acting as Transponders, Muxponders, Regenerators or ADMs. They support a variety of client signals including SONET/SDH, OTN, Ethernet and Fibre-Channel and provide flexible solutions that increase product value while they reduce the cost and time associated with the FPGA development cycle.

• Forward Error Correction (FEC) IP Cores
  

  Avalon is a leader in forward error correction (FEC) for optical networks. Avalon has IP cores compliant to BPON, GPON, and OTN standards as well as Enhanced FECs compliant to G.975.1 Annex 4, Annex 7 and Annex 9. Further, Avalon has developed a high performance proprietary FEC for ultra high speed applications such as 100G.



• Optical Transport Hierarchy (OTN, FEC, EFEC) Cores
  

  Avalon supports OTN solutions for 100G, 40G, 10G, 2.5G, and 1.25G applications. Avalon's Zenobia, Alberta, Blackmore, Columbia and Dolomite products provide OTUk, ODUk, and OPUk processing as well as forward error correction. Avalon supports G.709 FEC and EFEC for FPGA-based designs.
