40G SONET-768/STM-256 Framer, Pointer Processer and POS mapper

Avalon's Athabasca product combines a 40G SDH/SONET IP core with an SFI-5 interface to 40G optical transceivers. Customers have the choice of concatenated pointer processor or a fully channelized pointer processor.

The core can be customized per user requirements or combined with other IP cores from Avalon.

 The Athabasca core is currently available in a Xilinx Virtex 5 platform and an Altera Stratix II GX platform.
