Avalon provides you with a stand-alone IP core - an extensive standards-based IP core library combined with customization allows Avalon to provide a complete FPGA-based solution for products requiring the transport of signals carrying Ethernet, Fibre Channel, OTN, or SONET/SDH data. Avalon provides a complete Virtual Application Specific Standard Product (VASSP) to meet your needs, and a functional specification document customized for your VASSP.

Emerging standards such as 40GE, 100GE

Avalon can work with customers to develop an FPGA based solution for emerging standards such as 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s Ethernet. Avalon's flexible solutions allow for the modification of a product during the development of the standard, and when the standard comes to closure.

With two full-time patent writers on staff, Avalon currently has two granted patents, and over eight patents filed in areas such as skew technology, FEC, and FPGA-centric coding styles and structures.
